Radius Security: Employment Benefits
At Radius, we believe that investing in our people helps to drive our success. We offer flexible working hours to help with your work-life balance, ongoing mentoring, where colleagues work closely with a dedicated supervisor or manager, and over 40 in-house training courses and registered qualifications. These courses can help to progress your career from a part-time, door supervisor to a full-time qualified care warden or even an area manager and beyond. As we expand and grow, so do you. We recruit both internally and externally, allowing us to develop more opportunities for progression throughout the business. This commitment to our staff is underpinned by an industry-leading welfare plan that offers cashback on high street names, money back on dental care, medical bills, and even free one to one counselling.
We understand the difficulties of trying to maintain a balanced modern work / home life and we recognise that it can be challenging when working in roles such as door supervision and manned guarding. We aim to let our teams operate in a flexible working group, supporting people where possible to work from home, change shifts, and even help cover each other when they are able. We currently have roles where childcare is paramount, and we support these colleagues by supplying flexible working hours and team member support. Dedicated duty managers, supervisors and a 24-hour support desk are on hand to help during the evenings and night. This highly experienced team make sure that our clients and colleagues feel confident they are safe and protected.
Management and Mentoring
In our quest to continually develop our organisation and individuals, we have created an individual development plan for our colleagues looking to progress their career. We identify and focus on an individual’s strengths and support their development through coaching, mentoring, identifying opportunities and setting personal KPI’s. To back this up, we routinely perform appraisals to assess everyone’s progress and align their goals with our reward schemes. Everything learnt and gained from their development plans is transferable to other areas of the business and beyond.
We believe that other companies fail to deliver the best service by simply not investing in their teams. Because of this, we have focused heavily on training courses and personal development, and we will soon be ready to launch our Radius training academy, which offers over 40 in house courses. This means our security staff, care wardens and management team can develop broader understandings of the whole industry, which we believe helps to deliver our exemplary service. We also use external education platforms to progress our colleagues. Our management team is expected to complete an accredited management training Programme, and many our colleagues are currently in the process of completing various diplomas and NVQ’s.
A job can be highly gratifying when taking pride in one’s work and whilst we endeavour to deliver the best service we can, we also understand that it can be challenging. There can be times in everyone’s lives where things can seem complicated, and we recognise that. At Radius we truly believe that each individual matters. That’s why we have reached out to one of the country’s leading employee welfare services. Not only do our employees get money back for dental care, medical bills, and money off high street brands. They also offer independent legal advice, free counselling services, and access to NHS approved welfare apps. Read more here
